Tees: Men –#3 Tees Men over 70 – #3/4 Combo Tees Women – #4 Tees
Format: Stroke Play (aggregate; 1 gross ball, 1 net ball, 1 net yellow ball)
Each team will select a YELLOW BALL order prior to teeing off. A player MUST play and count the YELLOW BALL on his or her designated hole. Hole designation is as follows
Player A Holes # 1, 6, 11, 15
Player B Holes # 2, 7, 12, 17
Player C Holes # 3, 8, 14, 18
Player D Holes # 4, 9, 13
Player E Holes # 5, 10, 16
Failure to return the designated YELLOW BALL will result in a 3 Shot penalty!!
All USGA and Pine Ridge Golf Club local rules apply:
- PREFERRED LIES – A ball lying through the green may be lifted cleaned and placed within one Scorecard Length of where it originally lay, no nearer the hole, and must remain in the same cut of grass.
- POWER LINES – If a ball strikes an elevated power line or cable, the stroke must be canceled and replayed, without penalty. Another ball may be substituted.
- OUT OF BOUNDS – White stakes and the inside point of the pillars defines out of bounds.
- GROUND UNDER REPAIR – Painted white lines defines ground under repair. Flower beds are considered ground under repair. If a ball is in an area defined as ground under repair, it must be dropped in accordance with Rule 25-1b.
- PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES (Staked) – If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball must be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2b(i).
- EMBEDDED BALL RULE is in effect through the green.
- DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES – Rule 14-3 will be waived to allow devices that measure distance only.
- RELIEF FROM AERATION HOLES – Through the green, a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be lifted without penalty, cleaned, and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not closer to the hole.
- IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS CLOSE TO PUTTING GREEN – In addition to relief under Rule 24-2, if a ball lies off the putting green and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief: Ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of relief, no nearer the hole.
- All putts must be holed for the score to count
