DESCRIPTION:Golf Course is closed for daily play today for the 2024 Yellow Ball. \nTo register for the Yellow Ball\, please click HERE \n \nTime:  10:00 a.m. Shotgun Start \nTees:               Men –#3 Tees            Men over 70 – #3/4 Combo Tees               Women – #4 Tees \nFormat:           Stroke Play (aggregate; 1 gross ball\, 1 net ball\, 1 net yellow ball) \nEach team will select a YELLOW BALL order prior to teeing off.  A player MUST play and count the YELLOW BALL on his or her designated hole.  Hole designation is as follows        \n                                    Player A                     Holes # 1\, 6\, 11\, 15 \n                                    Player B                      Holes # 2\, 7\, 12\, 17 \n                                    Player C                     Holes # 3\, 8\, 14\, 18 \n                                    Player D                     Holes # 4\, 9\, 13 \n                                    Player E                      Holes # 5\, 10\, 16 \nFailure to return the designated YELLOW BALL will result in a 3 Shot penalty!! \nAll USGA and Pine Ridge Golf Club local rules apply:\n\nPREFERRED LIES – A ball lying through the green may be lifted cleaned and placed within one Scorecard Length of where it originally lay\, no nearer the hole\, and must remain in the same cut of grass.\nPOWER LINES – If a ball strikes an elevated power line or cable\, the stroke must be canceled and replayed\, without penalty.  Another ball may be substituted.\nOUT OF BOUNDS – White stakes and the inside point of the pillars defines out of bounds.\nGROUND UNDER REPAIR – Painted white lines defines ground under repair.  Flower beds are considered ground under repair.  If a ball is in an area defined as ground under repair\, it must be dropped in accordance with Rule 25-1b.\nPROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES (Staked) – If such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing\, the ball must be lifted\, without penalty\, and dropped in accordance with Rule 24-2b(i).\nEMBEDDED BALL RULE is in effect through the green.\nDISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES – Rule 14-3 will be waived to allow devices that measure distance only.\nRELIEF FROM AERATION HOLES – Through the green\, a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be lifted without penalty\, cleaned\, and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not closer to the hole.\nIMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS CLOSE TO PUTTING GREEN – In addition to relief under Rule 24-2\, if a ball lies off the putting green and an immovable obstruction on or within two club-lengths of the putting green and within two club-lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole\, the player may take relief: Ball must be lifted and dropped at the nearest point of relief\, no nearer the hole.\nAll putts must be holed for the score to count
